Is there freedom with conditioning?

In the Brave New World, everyone is born to be dependent and without freedom. Humans are divided into differnet levels by a caste system and are forced to do certain jobs. For example, Epsilons are considered to be the lower caste who can only do jobs that don't require any knowledge. Mr. Foster's statement, "But in Epsilons, we don't need human intellegence", prevents them from doing things that the Alphas and Betas can do. In addition, conditioning also acts as a form of social and mind control thus giving them compliant values in the Brave New World.Another example of conditioning is expressed in the Beta's monologue:" I'm really awfully glad that I'm an Beta, becauseI don't work hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas." These statements show Betas are contemptuous of the lower caste people which indicates the divisions in the society and the lack of freedom for people to prosper beyond their own caste. Finally, infants are also being conditioned at a very young age in the Neo-Pavovian conditioning room. Thr director conditions the infants to stay away from books and flowers which block them from gaining knowledge and also keeps them away from nature. The Director's statement," It was decided to abolish the love of nature" shows his disire to keep society "stable" by forbidding people to explore and enjoy the outside world. Freedom will not exist in a society where everyone is conditioned only to do their own jobs, and not to think critically. There is no way for people to gain freedom in Brave New World since they are only able to do things that are related to their own caste.

Poem

I'm in a mixture of depression and discontent,
Seeing that the society is facing a demanding crisis.
Reading books can't grant me a way to solve the problem.
Society is just like flowers that lack of nutrients and begin to dry out.

The economy around the world has gone into depression
People lose their jobs and are crying out for survival.
I'm now fifty and one of the most successful person in the world.
But all of a sudden, I'm facing danger of getting fired: unfairness has come to haunt me.

Do Seek The Meat From God

In the story "Do Seek The Meat From God" has a theme of survival of the fittest. The panthers need to hunt for food for survival. However, due to the lack of food in the jungle, the panthers end up attacking humans. Unfortunately they were killed at the end. The panthers are in fact just getting what they need and they attack the settler only for self-defence. The jungle symbolize danger to both humans and animals because there is no mercy in a place where people will use everyway to get what they want. There is also an irony where the settler is thinking whether he should go to the cabin and see the boy or just simply go away. Finally he ends up saving his own son. I think this is an interesting story to read.

What is Love

What is love?
Love is complicated
Love makes one feeel confused
Love is trust
Without trust,
There is no point for love
Love is not just designed for human
Love can be with objects
And Also Animals
Because they makes one feel in love
For no reason
Many people wants love
Love makes one stay away from alone
Not feeling bored
Love can also makes one feel proud
only if one chooses theright person
Love is gorgeous
But we need to be cautious about love
We need to think carefully
or we will choose the wrong person
And regret for the rest of the life

A Plea For the Physical

I prefer the sedentary over the physical. Humans need their own space to do things. They want to occupy every single tiny space that they can have for their own. For example, driving a car gives this feeling to people. They can visit comfrotably in their own cars without losing any privacy to other people. However, if they are riding a bike, it will seem that air pollution from passing vehicles is entering their body and is damaging their health. Humans just want to save as much work as they can; therefore, it will not matter if they choose the physical or not as long as they can finally achieve the same goal. Clearly, people who prefer the physical just want to fufill the goal of making themselves feel like they have achieved something by doing the physical work. Nevertheless, the sedentary can also bring one in touch with things that can be done by the physical. However, success in the sedantary approch is mainly felt in the heart rather than through physical work. I think achieving a goal in the sedentary could make me feel happy enough since I have saved a lot of physical work. In this sense I like many humans in our society.
